While at home on September 9, 2014, Paul Steven Sanderson Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will truly be missed.
Paul was born in Glendale, Calif. March 16, 1944 to Glen Sanderson Sr. and Helen Sanderson (Orchard). He was a graduate of Hoover High School, Glendale, Calif. He attended Glendale City College and a technical institute and upon graduation was employed as a Draftsman (Aerospace). Paul married Judy Sanderson (Herman), his high school sweetheart, July 11, 1964. In 1966 he was drafted into the Marine Corps. Upon his honorable discharge in 1968, he found his calling in the telecommunications industry. Paul attended the Los Angeles Sheriff's Academy on Sundays to complete 200 hours of training and 900 hours as a patrolman. He was a member of the Glendale Police Department Auxiliary Unit and served proudly until his move to Talent, Ore. in 1972. Paul served as a Phoenix-Talent School Board Member for many years, coached Little League baseball and softball, was a Cub Scout Master, and a Kiwanis's Club Member. He retired from the Phone Company in 1997. After retirement he soon found himself contracting to a telecommunications firm as a Pacific Northwest Regional Manager for several more years. Fulfilling a childhood dream, he rounded out his work life as a part-time long haul truck driver.
In addition to Judy , his loving wife of 50 years, he leaves behind a son, Paul Sanderson Jr; a daughter, Christine Munsell (Sanderson); 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren all of whom he loved very much.
