| Annette Stapleton passed away on December 17, 2011 in Reno, Nevada after a long and brave struggle with her health.
Annette was a fixture in the local real estate business. After selling real estate in California and Hawaii, she bought her first Nevada home in Incline Village in 1974.
Annette was recognized numerous times over the years for her business successes. In addition to serving as the President of the Incline Village Board of Realtors, she was named Incline Village Realtor of the year in 1995. In 2001 the Nevada Association of Realtors named her one of the “50 golden Realtors in the Silver State.
Much of her free time was spent working for the community in Reno and North Lake Tahoe
Her experience included chairmanships for Toys for Tots, and Easter Seals. Annette was particularly proud of her work on the advisory council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada and fundraising efforts surrounding their first annual Designer Showcase Home.
Annette was born in San Diego, CA on May 19th 1944, to Esther and Walt Miller. She is survived by her daughter Dagny Stapleton, son Beau Stapleton, brother Walt Miller, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
In lieu of flowers or cards, Annette requested donations be made in her name to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada. |
